Due to risks associated with COVID-19, Webster Groves Presbyterian Early Childhood Center has decided to remain closed to in-person learning. The commission and faculty will re-evaluate before October 23, 2020, in line with the WGSD dates.

We believe that education is extremely important for young children, and we will be offering virtual learning during our closure at a reduced tuition.

JUNIOR KINDERGARTEN (NO CURRENT OPENINGS)

Start-Up School Supply Kit:
This kit will include ALL general school supplies Ms. Summer has determined your child will need for the school year (counting bears, glue sticks, chalk, etc.) Parents will pick this up at the beginning of the school year.

Weekly Project and Worksheet Packets:
Ms. Summer will put together weekly packets for each student containing all the materials your child will need to do his/her weekly work. This includes all supplies for crafting projects, science experiments, worksheets, Weekly Readers, Jr. Kindergarten Journals, and any additional instructions or materials needed for the lesson that week. Parents will pick up these packets weekly.

Zoom Calls:
Ms. Summer will set up 1:1 Zoom calls twice/week with each student. She will use these calls to assess your child and determine each student’s individual learning goals for the year and do to 1:1 lessons with each child. It is Ms. Summer’s goal to also have weekly group Zoom calls with the entire class. These may start a few weeks into the school year, after she has had a chance to meet with each student individually first.

Videos:
On the days that Ms. Summer is not doing 1:1 or group Zoom calls, she will upload recorded videos on Class Dojo. These videos may include read alouds, recorded lessons, guidance for weekly worksheets or projects, etc.

Tuition: $150/month

3s & 4s (CURRENT OPENINGS)

Start-Up School Supply Kit:
This kit will include ALL general school supplies Mrs. Shannon has determined your child will need for the school year (crayons, scissors, chalk, etc.) Parents will pick this up at the beginning of the school year.

Weekly Project Packets:
Mrs. Shannon will put together weekly packets for each student containing all the materials your child will need to do his/her weekly work. This includes all supplies for crafting projects, all worksheets or writing pages, and any additional instructions or materials needed for the projects that week. Parents will pick up these packets weekly.

Daily Videos:
Mrs. Shannon will post daily videos (Monday-Thursday, same as when her class would meet). In these videos, she will sing songs, read books and/or provide guidance on how to do weekly projects or activities, as needed.

Other:
Mrs. Shannon will schedule Zoom meetings with her class. Zooms can be difficult with this age group so they may not be offered weekly but we feel that it is still very important to connect the kids with each other and establish a sense of community, as best as we can. Mrs. Shannon has learned a lot from the virtual learning last semester so will offer Zooms as often as she feels appropriate. She will also be available for FaceTime meetings with parents by request and by email to help with any issues or questions.

Tuition: $115/month
