Established in 1962, the Webster Groves Presbyterian Church Early Childhood Center (ECC) has served preschool-aged children and their parents for more than 60 years. Our professional staff is dedicated to providing a warm, family-oriented atmosphere that enables each child to develop physically, emotionally, socially, and cognitively.
The ECC offers weekly, half-day preschool, September through May, from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. Lunch Bunch until 1:30 p.m. is available for children in the 3s/4s and Junior Kindergarten class. We maintain a staff of qualified teachers. Learn more about our class offerings here.

philosophy
The philosophy of the WGPC Early Childhood Center Staff is to nurture each child in an environment that will foster optimum development physically, emotionally, socially, cognitively, and spiritually. Each child will be supported in developing at their own pace. A Christian atmosphere is maintained by seeking to be loving, kind, caring and forgiving in our relationships with one another. Stories of the Judeo-Christian heritage are shared with the children, but no attempt is made to indoctrinate or to insist on compliance of any doctrinal position.

The ECC Commission is comprised of ECC parent volunteers along with the Director of the ECC. In partnership with staff, the Commission provides oversight of the preschool, including policies, procedures, budgets, and much more.
